I heavily modified the top because I didn’t want it to be completely backless, but I assume that the intended pattern would be good as well! I absolutely love the shorts. I sized up and still had to make my seam allowances a little smaller for them to fit well, but now they fit perfectly! I took off a star because the instructions lack pretty significant detail. I’ve been sewing less than a year, and I had to look up a lot of tutorials to fill in the gaps. An experienced sewist would probably be fine, but I like a lot of explanation. I also upgraded the finishes (eg, fully lined the shirt, understitched throughout, and added interfacing to the waistband). Again, an experienced sewist would likely know to do those things, but it would be nice to see them in the instructions. I will be making the shorts again :)

The pattern pieces didn't quite match up and the instructions were very confusing. I would say I'm an intermediate sewer. I sewed the top first but the pattern didn't even work for me logistically because sewing the straps in the back to anchor it prevented the stretch from happening and then I couldn't get the shirt on... I didn't even attempt the shorts.
